Hello! Hugs to you for visiting my blog 🙂

I would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you, to the people who read my blog and take time to comment on my posts here and on facebook, and twitter.

When I started blogging I really didn’t think anyone would read it, let alone reach out to me, or discuss this chosen craft. To say that each and every one of your comments inspires me is an understatement. I just want to say that you guys always encouraged me to think outside the box and I can never be thankful enough.

People were asking, when I do my knitting, where do I usually do this?

I know it is weird, but whenever I knit, I always find myself sitting in our garage. We have a little workplace there set at a corner. Usually, I’ll just find myself as if in a bubble sitting there and knitting. I’d be lost in my little world where my husband would find me later on. Oh. Don’t worry, I usually do this whenever my husband is at home and it is his turn to have our “kids’ time.”

Was it uncomfortable there? No! My husband had this nice insulated garage door installed by our local Tulsa garage door service a while back to stop the extreme heating especially during summer. The insulation had a good R-value, and is sound-proof. So you’d understand how it could be living in a different world in there can be. There, I can knit to my heart’s content.

I guess I should start from the start, my great nanna taught me how to knit a basic garter stitch when i was 6 years old, I made lots of scarves that summer 🙂

My mum, taught me how to sew, and have sewn on and off for years. I love sewing as it gives me instant gratification, as a teen I would modify my clothes to make them stand out and be different to my peers. At the moment I love making cloth dolls, or art dolls as they are also called.

I have also had a love of colour since I can remember!

When I left school, I went on to train as a make-up artist in London, I loved doing catwalk looks or high fashion because you get to play with colour and your imagination, I then went on to study crystal healing and other holistic Therapies including colour therapy.

I have recently rekindled my love with knitting, and as a consequence, my craft stash is getting out of hand, I love raw fibre especially pure wool, I love the smell, the feel, the softness. I love to needle felt and wet felt, it’s so satisfying to fuse the fibres together! Watch the shapes form and become dense.

Would love to learn spinning, and I am hopefully taking a workshop at knit nation this year, i have brought a drop spindle.. so watch this space for uneven creations.

So, that’s it. If you are interested in the same things as I am, then follow me in my journey here at my site!
