Snappy Happy Monday - 03

Hello Monday!

Wow what a week!! I have been busy, busy!! What with my son turning 11, Getting him ready for a school trip to little Canada in the isle white, my mums birthday and my sisters tomorrow! There was also the Birth of a friend’s baby, and of course lots of jubilee celebrations.

Knitting wise I have not done a lot, after waiting a few days for my 3mm knit pro needles to arrive, so I could make start on my knitted clutch design, I snapped them!! *slaps head with palm of hand!*It just wasn’t meant to be!  As previous to this I dropped a stitch and had to frog everything *sigh*
This is the 2nd pair of Knit pro needles to snap at ths size :( i must be to heavy handed!

I have now ordered some knit pro metal tips in those sizes, but with the long bank holiday weekend, I am guessing they won’t arrive till late part of next week! So I am going to make a start on a crochet version in the meantime.

Have been really busy with working behind the scenes on my new shop, it has been a challenge and its taking me a lot longer than the average person , because I am doing it all my self {by choice}  but I wanted to prove to myself that I can do it, calculating and imputing postage was an experience!! *grins*   Dyscalculia may have won the battle but it didn’t win the war, as I cracked it :D

You can now visit the shop from my blogs menu bar :D

I am also re-organising my work space in my work shop, and fitting out a proper dye studio in one section, at the moment I just have a sink and a small work table, so I am really excited about having more work tops and storage shelves to home all my STUFF like dyes and containers as there is so much of it EVERYWHERE lol

I am also repainting the workshop mint – and yes as one instagramer pointed at I am obsessed with this colour at the moment, I just can’t help it, it makes me swoon!

I have also been sorting through my fabric stash, I brought so much of it last year, but I just cannot bring myself to use it!, so I am thinking about, having pieces of my favourites framed! And hopefully I will get around to making that quilt that I have promised myself for the last two years to make!

Hope those of you in the UK are enjoying your long weekend, even if the weather is topical british rain!

To the rest of you have a good week!

  3. Sounds like cool stuff is going on! I am loving that colour too!
I have totally given up on the smaller knitpro wooden ends - I have snapped countless now.... I think they're just too weak - metal is better although tricky to tighten. I think a rubber band might work wrapped around the needle when doing it up - but haven't tried it yet.
