Work in progress - Tangled

Hello Wednesday,

And what a Beautiful Wednesday it is!!

Hitchhicker is coming along nicely, but to be honest, I have done more reading then knitting!

I have though got myself into a right tangled mess! I always knit from the side, but for some reason I decided to use the centre working yarn this time, and now have a load of yarn barf to sort out *sigh*

Book wise, I couldn’t put, the Fifty shades of grey, read it in 4 days, and I am now half way through the second in this trilogy called Fifty shades darker.

I just love the intense love story between the charters, {FYI it’s very soft erotica!! well IMO *blush*}, and friends of mine, who have started reading, have said, they didn’t think they would enjoy reading but they too can’t seem to put the book down.

You just can’t help but fall in love with Mr Grey!!

For other WIP and Yarn alongs visit Tamis and Ginny :D

Have a lovely day everyone! xx
P.s yesterday  I nominated some awesome bloggers the Sunshine award, they really are worth checking out!!

  2. Every now and again I decide to knit from the centre of a ball - and every time I end up with some level of yarn barf!

Loving the yarn still, it'll be worth it once it's done :)

  3. It's looking gorgeous! Thank you so much for my award, I'm very naughty with awards usually but I promise I will make an extra special effort for an extra special award from somebody who's blog I love!

  6. Ugh sorry about the yarn barf. Your hitchhiker is really coming along. Beautiful work! My mom just bought your book selection--now you have really peaked my interest on it. I wil have to check it out! Have a great week!

  7. I usually use my yarn from the center, but I get those tangle blobs. I hate it. I am considering hitchhiker for a crazy yarn I have. I think the pattern would work well for it. And more on that book. I keep hearing about it. I did reluctantly put it on my library list.

  8. That is the exact same thing that happens to me when I knit from the center, such a mess and so frustrating.
I keep seeing that book on Amazons top 100, it's very popular.
Have a great yarn along day.

  9. I love the colours your using so do pretty. Thanks for the book recommendation I'm not a great reader and often struggle to find books of interest. I have to take my text books back to the library this week so may just see if they have this book . Enjoy the sunshine x

  10. Beautiful colors! I hate yarn barf. It just seems to always happen when you have the least amount of time/space to deal with it.

  11. you described the jumbled yarn perfectly---hate when that happens. do love how the hitchhiker is knitting up, though!

  12. The shawl is coming along nicely, such a pretty color combination. I think this is one I've put on my list. I've collected so many patterns of late trying to find one that uses the right type of yarn that I have on hand in the right amounts...lol

  13. The yarn is gorgeous...what a beautiful shawl that is going to become!

I seem to manage to always get knots during my knitting projects. I am not sure why...I think it's a curse! ;)

  14. Yarn barf, I love that term - had to deal with that myself quite often. ;-) The yarn is a gorgeous color and I've seen the pattern so many time, I'm itching to knit it myself. Several friends of mine are raving about the 50 shades books and now I really want to read them myself.

  15. Your hitchhiker looks great. I love the bright colors. I too have problems with center pull balls lately! I think I am going to download 50 Shades this weekend, although I should finish what I already have!

  16. Your week sounds like mine, more Fifty Shades than crochet! Love the colors and the way the edge is working up!

  17. HaHa. Yarn barf. I love it! I work from the center because it is less attractive to chase in a kitty perspective. I just finished Shades of Grey and am waiting patiently for the next book. I may have to go buy it.

  18. Oh, I can't stand yarn tangles like that. I got mad and cut mine the other day. Pretty colors though. I may check those books out.....love reading a series. For some reason it won't let me comment with my url....so I had to use anonymous. Here it is. http://themahoganyway.wordpress.com/2012/05/23/on-my-hook/

  20. Oh thank the heavens that someone else taked about "Fifty Shades Darker" this week, too!

I've read two out the three books within a day's time. I liked Darker better than the first book.

I love your Hitchhiker. Such beautiful colors.

  21. I'm sorry about those tangles. That yarn is such a beautiful color.

  22. Such pretty yarn! I always work from the center. I find it so much easier than having the yarn flipping around on me. Except of course for the blob. I'm a librarian and we have a HUGH waiting list for the 50 Shades series. Everyone wants to read them!!

  23. I really love all the colours in the yarn you're using but not loving the tangle - good luck!

  24. Your hitchhiker is a fantastic color, good luck with the tangles!

  25. Glad you are having fun with your book. I often have yarn barf, but luckily in crochet you can use it up so much faster that it doesn't really matter.

  26. I love the yarn you chose for the hitchhiker, it makes me happy! Good luck with the yarn barf, I hate when that happens, as I have limited patience with such things!

  27. I know the tangle frustration! But your hitchhiker is still looking amazing!!! I absolutely love the yarn :)

  28. I think yarn barf is more frustrating than baby barf

  29. I may have missed it, but what yarn are you using? The colors are so bright and cheerful, and there isn't any of that yucky pooling that sometimes happens. Sorry about the center pull problems. That stinks!

  30. Hitchhiker is looking really lovely, and I sympathise about the yarn barf, I've sworn to never again knit centre pull because it annoys me so much!

  31. I love the colours in your yarns they're all gorgeous. I went to pick up some bits at my local supermarket this morning and spotted Fifty Shades of Grey. After your recommendation and so many others I've read I had to pick it up.

  32. I love your shawl and the yarn you chose for it! I've been wanting to make a hitchhiker forever but I keep doing other things instead. Bummer about the yarn barf, though.

I hate hate hate that book. Worst depiction of BDSM ever. It's basically abuse instead of a proper dom/sub relationship. T_T (Plus, it was originally Twilight fanfic. Bleh.)

  33. Lovely yarn :) Oooo that naughty knot...
I might have to try this book - sounds rather fun ;)
