Work in Progress Wednesday - {06-09-11}

Hello Everyone, Happy wednesday!
Super quick one this week, I decided to join in on Gingerbreadgirls  “one a day” and have decided to make myself a crochet cloak for winter.
I don’t know if I should do all the squares and joins in red or red tones and have a little red riding hood inspired cloak, or go multi coloured?? What do you lot think??
I am also experimenting with bows, after seeing a picture in a book, I decided to try and make one up myself, I am going to make a few, for collars on dresses, and brooches .

I am also still working on my caponcho, managed to get a few rounds in :)
I also have a  Facebook page for my blog {yay!} after having blog withdrawals from being so busy, I decided to open one up as I can update Facebook with pictures and musing straight from my phone, as soon as they happen! It will be a busy feed, so would love for you all to come and join me.
 Once I reach 100 likes I will be doing my first give away to celebrate which will include a skein of our Hand dyed yarn from Jane & Michael for one of you to try, amongst other goodies!
My Face book can be found by ether clicking this LINK or the face book button on the top right side bar, please come and say hello, I would love to hear from you :)
Well that’s it for me this week, won’t see you Friday, as I am off on holiday for a few days, have a lovely weekend xx

  1. Oooh, that crochet cape looks epic! Personally I would go with either one colour or a muted accent colour, because I think multicolour would look a bit too busy - but that's just my styles - you might want that!

    That bow looks gorgeous by the way :)

  2. Lurve that cloak, I agree with Pinkundine, I would go for one colour ( a more muted one though), as that is my style.

  3. The cape looks lovely!!I wouldn't do multi-coloured unless that is your style, and maybe use one or two colours, like a bright one and a muted one :)

    I love the colours in the caponcho :D

  4. I think one colour (or shades of one colour anyway) would look best too. You don't want it to be too busy :) I love your bow and the colours of your caponcho are amazing!

  5. Personally I think that a multi-coloured cape would be too busy. Two colours would be really nice. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

  11. I agree that too many colors on that cape would be too busy. I also like that yarn on the bottom picture.

  17. I'm a huge fan of red, and think it would make a great cloak -- but then, I've been a little red-obsessed lately. Hope you have a fantastic holiday!
